The Under 12s bounced back with a bang against Trim Celtic in Knightsbrook. Following on from the disappointment of last week's defeat to Kells, Borora put Trim Celtic to the sword with an emphatic performance from the first minute to the last. Rufus O' Loughlin and Terry Gilsenan were instrumental, constantly pulling the strings in midfield with lung busting runs and fantastic link up play with our wingers and forwards. The game started off bright with Borora constantly probing and attacking down the flanks and it wasn't long before the first real chance of the game fell to debutant Jack Gargan who couldn't believe his luck when he found himself unmarked after a defensive clearance from Charlie Barret Lynch. Jack, all alone ran 3 quarters of the pitch only to be denied a goal by a fantastic double save from Trim Celtics talented goal keeper. Terry and Rufus continued  to be a constant threat with jinky runs and link up play with our 2 tricky wingers, Cillian Heffernan and Alfie Wallace. Finally our play got it's reward when Cillian Heffernan broke the deadlock with a goal of the season contender.  Alfie Wallace with a terrific run down the right flank slipped a pass inside to Terry, who squared to Cillian. Cillian took his chance superbly with a first time left footed shot to smash it from distance in off the underside of the crossbar and into the net. Borora quickly added a second from Terry Gilsenan after a slick one-two with Cillian Heffernan down the left. Terry with a driving run into the box to calmly slot it into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 at half time. The second half continued where the first ended and Borora wasted no time adding to the score with Rufus O'Loughlin intercepting an under hit Trim Celtic goal kick. The ever impressive O'Loughlin carried the ball into the box and delightfully slotted it into the top corner to make it 3-0. Our back 2 of Charlie Barret Lynch and Ciaran Nevin were solid throughout the game and gave nothing up until Trim fashioned their best chance of the game which seemed a certain goal only to be denied by Ruairi Kavanagh in goal. Soon after it was 4-0 with the help of the quick thinking Alfie Wallace throw in down the line to Joey Lynch who linked up with O'Loughlin who subsequently crossed the ball with pin point accuracy for Cillian Heffernan to nod it in at the back post for his second of the game. Trim had to do something now and try to get back into the game, but this only left them wide open to swift counter attacks by Cillian, Alfie, Rufus and Terry resulting in 2 more well worked goals for Terry and Rufus and that was game over but not before Terry Gilsenan added a terrific individual goal with a jinky run that Lional Messi would be proud of, topped off with a classy outside of the left foot finish low into the corner to claim a very deserved hat trick. A classy goal was followed by a classy celebration as both Rufus and Terry rushed to the sideline and picked up the number 5 jersey in solidarity with their suspended team mate Paddy Gargan.  Borora were full value for their win and go into next week's rescheduled game vs Navan Town Cosmos with confidence sky high and hoping to keep up the pressure on the top 2 in the division. Final score Trim Celtic 0-7 Borora Juniors. Man of the match Alfie Wallace. Goal scorers Terry Gilsenan 3, Rufus O'Loughlin 2, Cillian Heffernan 2. Attendance 45000 šŸ˜‚
